Avery Terry Director of Basketball
Basketball Trainer Quavon Anderson

David Anderson, the owner and CEO of the Foundation Basketball Development Group, began playing and learning the fundamentals of basketball at a young age.  He attended Beach Channel High School in Queens, New York from 1985-1988.  His junior and senior years, David was the star point guard.  He was nominated player of the week, All Queens 2nd Team, and an All City Honorable Mention.

After his high school career, in 1988, David continued on to play at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, New York.  As a freshman, he was awarded the Leadership Award, and as a sophomore the Captains Award.  David was ranked in the Top 10 in the state of New York for assists.

Following his collegiate career, David actively participated in several leagues located in New York City.  He participated in the Summer Nike Pro-Am league at Hunter College, headed by Coach Amir of the Skyriders. Also, he participated in the Summer West 4th Street, The Cage, Pro-Am League. A third league he took part in was the Summer Dyckman Park Pro-Am, and lastly, he was apart of Summer Pro-Am NBA workouts with Coach Jim Couch of Dyckman Program at Brandise High School, Basketball City, and Manhattan College.

After learning and understanding the game of basketball, David began to help give kids an understanding of what the game was about too.  He was the volunteer assistant coach at Manchester High School, in Midlothian, Virginia, from 2001-2004.  He then took a position as the head freshman coach at Manchester High during the 2004-2005 season.  While coaching, he focused on developing the players fundamental skills so that they would have a stronger foundation as they moved up to play higher competition.

Later on that year, he began his training program, The Foundation Basketball Development Group, which would give kids the one on one attention they needed in order to improve their all-around game by strengthening their fundamentals.

In addition to the Foundation Basketball Development Group, he also founded The Annual Summer Fathers Day Weekend Tournament held in Chesterfield, Virginia. As well as serving the kids, David Anderson also services his community.  He worked with the New York Fire Department EMS Command for eight years and worked with the Chesterfield Fire Department as a fire-fighter.
